Waitress receives life-changing tip from future Premier League star on top of £32k bar bill

A Munich waitress received a life-changing £8,000 tip from Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric after the future Premier League star wracked up a £32,000 bar bill.

Muric joined the Clarets last summer from Manchester City, starting all but four games in their charge to promotion from the Championship. The 24-year-old is now set to feature in the top-flight for Vincent Kompany's men, who are now looking to secure the title.

The Kosovo international was clearly in a celebratory mood earlier this month as he visited Munich with friends and team-mates. One of the bars they visited was the Filmcasino nightclub, located in the German city's Old Town.

There, they wracked up a staggering bill of £31,752 bar bill, with the tab including nearly 40 bottles of Dom Perignon champagne and 10 more of Jay-Z-owned Armand de Brignac champagne, as well as four bottles or Moet & Chandon Nectar, a demi-sec champagne, and bottles of Chivas Regal.

According to BILD, Muric also bought a round for everyone in the club, which is a favourite of the Bayern Munich squad. the Burnley star also handed waitress Chantel an £8,800 tip for her work, with the server sharing her umper bonus with her colleagues.

Muric and his group visited the club in early April and were clearly in a celebratory mood. Chantel raved about the 25-year-old and revealed she had used the money to buy her dream pet, a Pomeranian-Bulldog.

"I invited the whole house [and] shared my winnings with my colleagues. To the bouncers, DJs, service staff, even the toilet attendant, I gave something. [Muric was a very pleasant guest, very accommodating. He created a good atmosphere," she said.

Muric's night out came just before Burnley confirmed their immediate return to the Premier League after relegation last season. They sealed promotion on 7 April with a win away at Middlesbrough.

Boss Kompany has assembled a team of young starlets, with Muric providing a solid figure between the sticks. He has kept 17 clean sheets in total in the Championship, conceding just 29 goals in total.

Burnley can win the title on Saturday if they beat struggling QPR after being held to a draw by Rotherham in midweek. They paid £2.5million to buy Muric from City in the summer transfer window.

The Premier League title challengers inserted clauses into that deal to ensure their future benefit. That includes a buy-back option, an ability to match any forthcoming offers and a percentage of his next sale should they not buy him.

Muric left City having struggled for game-time since breaking through from their academy. He previously spent time on loan at NAC Breda, Nottingham Forest, Girona, Willem II and Adana Demirspor.
