Wait, what year is it? Marjorie Taylor Greene just implied Donald Trump is a traitor after treating him like Jesus

It’s finally happening. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the congresswoman who treated Donald Trump like a political sun god, is now publicly questioning his orbit. And it took exactly one word to detonate their relationship: Traitor.

At a press conference with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse, Greene delivered a speech championing the release of the files. Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California also joined her in campaigning for justice for the survivors. But toward the latter half, Greene used her podium to clap back at the “traitor” label Trump put on her. “I was called a traitor by a man that I fought for five, no, actually six years,” she said. “And I gave him my loyalty for free.”

It was almost like a courtroom testimony. She reminded everyone she won her first election without Trump’s endorsement, “beating eight men in a primary.” Stressing that she “never owed him anything,” Greene said she only backed Trump “for the policies and America First.” But when she refused to remove her name from the discharge petition demanding the release of the Epstein files, Trump branded her a traitor.

Marjorie Taylor Greene subtly suggested that Trump is a traitor

Trump did not call Greene a policy opponent or a misguided ally. But a straight-up traitor. Why? Because dissent has always meant treason for the self-proclaimed “King” of the United States. But Greene wasn’t going to let him have it this time. She did her homework to help Trump do his, and unflinchingly announced, “Let me tell you what a traitor is. A traitor is an American who serves foreign countries and themselves.”

The audience didn’t need a name attached to that one. We’ve all been seeing who is acting more in the interests of his foreign allies than his own people. She doubled down, presenting a definition of a patriot to juxtapose with a traitor. “A patriot is an American who serves the United States of America and Americans like the women standing behind me.” And guess who was definitely not serving the women behind her? The one blocking the Epstein Files from the public eye.

Trump-Greene feud

Trump’s fury against Greene began the moment she pushed for full disclosure of the Epstein files. Mind you, these are the same files he once promised to release but later fought to keep under wraps. According to her, it “sent him over the edge.” Greene even publicly posted texts she had sent to Trump, where she was asking him to bring justice to Epstein’s victims.

It’s a bad enough look when the President publicly insults his own party member for simply asking questions about Epstein. And then there was the casual cruelty. After Greene said she was receiving death threats triggered by Trump’s online attacks, Trump dismissed it disgracefully. “Her life is in danger? Who’s that?” he asked the reporter. “I don’t think anybody cares about her,” he concluded (via People).

The Greene-Trump feud should serve as a big, clean mirror to all MAGAs. Trump is a man who demands total loyalty, down to the last decibel, yet offers none in return. The moment Greene stopped orbiting him and started orbiting the truth, she became disposable, a target practice, and a traitor.
