WA Police investigating after man found dead in water tank in Bakers Hill

An 80-year-old man has died in a water tank at a property in the Wheatbelt. 

WA Police said the incident happened just before 10am on Tuesday at a semi-rural property at Bakers Hill, in the Shire of Northam.

Officers said the man was found deceased at the scene. 

Authorities believe he suffered a medical episode and fell into a water tank that was on the back of a truck.

Police are investigating, but are not treating the death as suspicious. (ABC Midwest & Wheatbelt)

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services sent six crews to the scene and a rescue helicopter was ordered but was stood down shortly after. 

Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious. 

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
