Low-cost airline Vueling has increased frequencies for the Easter holiday period with flights from a host of UK airports. Highlights include six new direct routes between London Gatwick and the Spanish cities of Seville, Granada, Malaga, La Coruña, Menorca and Almeria.
Vueling, which forms part of IAG (International Airlines Group), will operate a total of 24 direct routes from multiple airports between April 8 and 18 during the Easter period. The schedule represents a strong increase in services compared to the same period in 2019, showcasing strong confidence in UK tourism to popular Spanish destinations.
The airline will offer 13 direct routes from London Gatwick airport during the Easter period, reaching similar operation levels to the same period in 2019. New connections from London Gatwick to Seville, Granada, Malaga, A Coruña, Menorca and Almeria are scheduled to start operating between April 1 and 3.
From Newcastle, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Cardiff airports, Vueling will operate a total of 11 routes over the Easter period. Those looking to hop over to France over the Easter break can opt for a Vueling service to Paris Orly operating from Newcastle, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Cardiff.
These routes were launched in November 2021 following the European Commission's approval of 18 slots as part of the recapitalisation of Air France.
In addition, Vueling has also increased its flight frequencies to Barcelona from London Gatwick, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Manchester airports. Vueling, a company belonging to IAG, is a key player in connections in Spain, the largest domestic market in Europe, and contributes to the economic and tourism development in the region.
For summer 2022, the carrier has more than 320 short and medium-haul routes in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East on sale, which are operated with a fleet of Airbus A319, A320, A320neo and A321 models.
Tickets are on sale on vueling.com and the airline’s mobile app.
