The weekend is once again upon us, and a number of North East families will be hoping to make the most of the glorious spring sunshine on their days away from the office.
While some may opt for a picnic in the park, and others will no doubt visit their trusty old beer garden for a cold one - some will make the most of one of the region's beautiful and bustling beaches.
And what's a trip to the beach without a spot of fish and chips, or a soft serve ice cream to cool you down from the sticky and humid heat? After all, it's a lot more pleasurable than dipping a toe in the North Sea!
While many will have their own personal favourite ice cream vendor, we wanted to find out who reigns supreme in terms of fresh, hand scooped desserts across the board. So we're asking you to vote for your favourite ice creamery across the North East through our interactive poll below.

Whatever tickles your fancy, let us know via our interactive poll below - and we'll reveal the results next week!
