Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said India faces a range of external and domestic challenges, including uncertainty over foreign exchange and crude oil prices, rising fertiliser costs and the possibility of below-normal rainfall, prompting the government to prepare for a less favourable monsoon scenario while maintaining adequate buffer stocks.
Addressing concerns over the economic outlook, Sitharaman said, "India faces challenge of uncertainty over prices of foreign exchange, crude oil, besides shortfall of rains this year."
