Vogue Williams shows off bedroom makeover results in second home in Howth

Vogue Williams and her husband Spencer Matthews live in London with their three kids but they recently purchased a home in her hometown of Howth, north Dublin.

The Irish model and podcaster, 37, stays there when she and her husband are back in Ireland with their children Theodore, Gigi and Otto. The mum-of-three said it is important for her children to know and love the area where she grew up next to the sea, RSVP Live reports.

"It's very important to me. It's where I grew up, I want them to know it and love it as much as I do," Vogue said. "My Howth home is my relaxing place, it’s where our family like to go and chill out and somewhere I hope we ’ll have forever, because going home is super important to me.

"The kids love it as well, as they have a group of friends over there too. I love being by the sea and feel very lucky to have it."

Vogue recently undertook a makeover of her guest rooms in the Howth house with Wayfair so the family could enjoy having friends and family to visit.

Vogue's favourite thing to do when she's home in Ireland is to enjoy the stunning cliff walk in Howth, so it's no surprise she decided to bring this coastal theme into her new design.

"It was pretty much a blank canvas before. I wanted it to echo the rest of the house, which has a beach house, Hamptons vibe. We love hosting guests and having friends and family come over to visit and I just wanted to create something that was really relaxing, super comfy and welcoming. Being by the sea, it’s got a coastal look, with a mix of calming blues, grey and coral," she reveals.

And the reality TV star couldn't be happier with the results. "It’s just got a really calm, peaceful vibe. I feel like you walk in, and you just know like you’re going to have the best night’s sleep! It’s got such a relaxed, chilled out feel," she said.

"I love statement pieces of art, so I love that this room also has a nice feature piece which is simple but still unique. The headboard really helps to pull the overall look together. It’s so soft and the colour ties into the coastal theme perfectly.

"I love the textured cushions, they’re amazing, and I love the sky blue headboard, the art. The lamps are really cool, they’re quite modern and having bedside lamps helps to keep the space feeling cosy in the evening."

Vogue also has some top tips to help create the perfect boutique hotel room feeling for guests to relax in comfort from treats for her guests to having the perfect towels, adding: "One of my favourite things about hotel stays has to be the bundle of gorgeous fluffy bath towels you arrive to, so they are an absolute must."

"Plenty of cushions and throws help to make the space super cosy, with crisp white cotton sheets – because getting a good night’s sleep when you’re away from home is so important! A cute little tray of goodies for your guests is a fun touch, with some local sweet treats, delicious smelling hand creams, bubble bath and some nice hand soaps."
