According to Ukraine's chief spy, Russian President Vladimir Putin is said to have survived an assassination attempt at the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The nation's Chief of Defence Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, claimed Putin was the target of an "unsuccessful attempt" on his life around two months ago.
