Vladimir Putin must lead Russia to victory or he will die after 'tying survival to war'

Russian president Vladimir Putin 's survival now depends on the outcome of the war on Ukraine, an expert has warned.

Robert E Kelly, a Professor of Political Science at the Pusan National University in South Korea, has claimed that the despot has 'now tied his survival to the war'.

Following Putin's announcement today of a 'partial mobilisation' of Russia, and threats of nuclear retaliation, the prof said that Ukraine will not give up, and will fight until the very end - or until the war becomes too complex for Russia.

Kelly wrote on Twitter : "Putin has now tied his survival to the war. He had a chance after Ukraine’s recent victory to re-evaluate. But he’s chosen escalation.

"This will prolong the war, but not alter the outcome - a UKR victory - bc UKR isn’t going to give up. The war will become a quagmire for Russia."

The tyrant today addressed the Russian nation and announced a partial mobilisation of the country for the war in Ukraine.

This means that citizens of the Russian Federation called up for military service, and those who are already serving will have their contract for military service concluded at the end of the period of partial mobilisation.

Vladimir Putin said: “Military service will apply only to citizens who are in the reserve, especially those who have served in the armed forces, have certain military professions and relevant experience."

And shortly after the president’s announcement, the country’s defence minister, Sergei Shoigu, added that 300,000 Russians “with previous military experience” would be called up.

The Russian president then went on to claim that the West is using the threat of nuclear weapons to blackmail his country, and that “those who try to blackmail us with nuclear weapons should know that the weathervane can turn and point towards them”.

Mad Vlad added that Russia would give its full support to the referendums announced for this weekend in the occupied Ukrainina regions of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia to join the Russian Federation.

However, an EU executive warned that this weekends referendum should not be recognised. European Commission spokesperson Peter Stano added that the “sham, illegal referenda” is 'dangerous'.

Stano continued: "Putin is doing a nuclear gamble. He’s using the nuclear element as part of his arsenal of terror, it’s unacceptable."

The decree for mobilisation itself was published on the Kremlin website.

It reads: “Only citizens who are currently in the reserve, and above all those who served in the Armed Forces, have certain military specialties and relevant experience, will be subject to conscription for military service.

"Those called up for military service before being sent to units will undergo additional military training without fail, taking into account the experience of a special military operation.

"I instruct the heads of regions to provide all necessary assistance to the work of military commissariats. All issues of material, resource and financial support for defence enterprises must be resolved by the government immediately.

"The regime of repressions throughout Ukraine was strengthened in the harshest way.The policy of intimidation, terror, and violence is assuming more and more terrible, barbaric forms.

"We have no moral right to hand over people close to us to be torn to pieces by the executioner, we cannot but respond to their aspirations to determine their own future.

"I have already given instructions to the Government and the Ministry of Defense in full and in the shortest possible time to determine the legal status of volunteers and fighters of the LPR and DPR.

"It should be the same as that of the regular military, including medical care, social guarantees.Particular attention should be paid to their equipment equipment.

"The goal of the West is to weaken, divide and destroy our country. They directly say that in 1991 they were able to split the USSR, and now the time has come for the Russian Federation itself, that it should break up into many warring regions.

"A new next, as it had happened twice before, a large-scale offensive in the Donbass was inevitable, and then an attack on the Crimea. And a decision on a pre-emptive operation was necessary.”
