Indian-American entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife, Dr Apoorva Tewari Ramaswamy, have welcomed their third child. Sharing the news about their baby girl, named Savithri, on Wednesday, the family shared an image of their family.
Ramaswamy shared the news in a post on X, along with a family photograph captioned with the date February 4, 2026, along with the carried message: “APOORVA AND VIVEK ANNOUNCE BIRTH OF THEIR DAUGHTER SAVITHRI.”
A statement included in the post said the mother and baby are doing well. “Apoorva and Vivek are happy to share the news of their daughter’s birth, Savithri. Mom and baby are doing well, and the family is deeply thankful for the prayers and kind messages from Ohioans and friends across the country,” it said.

Before the birth of Savithri, the couple had two sons. With the arrival of their daughter, the Ramaswamy family now has five members.
Ramaswamy first became known nationally as a biotech entrepreneur and author before entering politics. He ran in the 2024 Republican presidential nomination race and later withdrew from the contest. He has since announced his bid for the 2026 Ohio gubernatorial election and has continued to campaign in the state.
His wife, Dr Apoorva Tewari Ramaswamy, is a physician and has been described by Ramaswamy in past public remarks as central to his family life and values, as he balances campaigning with personal responsibilities.
