Vivek Ramaswamy, who was previously selected to lead the new government efficiency office within the White House, has decided to forgo this position as he sets his sights on running for governor of Ohio. This decision was confirmed by a White House official.
With Ramaswamy stepping aside, the Department of Government Efficiency, also known as DOGE, will now be overseen by Elon Musk. Musk was seen arriving at the White House on Monday afternoon, where he was granted a White House pass and is expected to operate from the West Wing.
