A woman has gone viral after hitting out at the Edinburgh Christmas Market, saying customers are "herded in" and that it is "half the size that it used to be."
Uploading a short rant on TikTok, @JenGirl warned those watching to avoid the popular market this year after experiencing a "packed train journey," and to visit George Square in Glasgow instead.
Since opening at the end of November, Edinburgh's Christmas Market has been the centre of attention in the capital as tens of thousands of locals and tourists flock to Princes Street Gardens to soak up the festive spirit.

Despite the jaw-dropping light displays of dozens of stalls at the event, many have made it clear that the sheer volume of visitors and price of food and drink make it a less enjoyable experience, especially if you're visiting with children.
This video, which has already racked up just shy of 200,000 views, gives a very direct and blunt view on the market and some of its 'flaws'. It starts of with the woman saying: "See if there is even an ounce of you thinking about making the nice trip through to Edinburgh from Glasgow to have a day out at the market... remove that thought from your head entirely."
She continues: "Seriously, abort mission! I've been going to the Edinburgh Christmas Market every year for the past eight years and what I experienced yesterday was - I don't even have the words to describe it if I'm honest - it is an unenjoyable experience.
"You are herded in like cattle, you cannot move and it is half the size of what it used to be. I paid £8 for f****** chips. So yeah... a message from me to you, please listen. I saw the Twitter messages and the TikTok videos and thought it can't be that bad but it is, and worse."
Edinburgh Live previously reported on what visitors thought of this year's market, with many mentioning the price of food, drinks and stalls, as an issue, but others seemed content with the amount of choice and the fact Edinburgh residents are offered a discount if they provide proof of an EH postcode.
