Vishwakarma Puja 2026: Is it on September 16 or 17? Date, time, puja vidhi and significance

Vishwakarma Puja

Many people are confused about whether Vishwakarma Puja 2026 will be celebrated on September 16 or 17. The festival will be observed on Thursday, September 17, coinciding with Kanya Sankranti, when the Sun moves from Leo to Virgo.

Vishwakarma Puja is traditionally observed on Kanya Sankranti, the day the Sun moves from Leo (Simha) to Virgo (Kanya). In 2026, Kanya Sankranti falls on Thursday, September 17, and panchang references mark the same day as Vishwakarma Puja. This means the festival will be observed on September 17, rather than September 16.
