Virginia Giuffre finally ‘vindicated’ as Ghislaine Maxwell’s private emails tear Prince Andrew’s defense apart

The family of the late Virginia Giuffre, who was one of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims and a key accuser of former Prince Andrew, says she is finally “vindicated” thanks to the newly released files connected to Jeffrey Epstein. These newly uncovered emails appear to have been written by Epstein’s long-time associate Ghislaine Maxwell. The contents seem to tear apart the royal’s long-standing defense regarding an infamous photograph of him and Giuffre.

The email, dated 2015, appears to be a draft statement written by Maxwell, directly addressing the existence of the photograph showing Andrew with his arm around Giuffre when she was known as Virginia Roberts. The email draft states, “In 2001 I was in London when [redacted] met a number of friends of mine including Prince Andrew. A photograph was taken as I imagine she wanted to show it to friends and family.”

According to People Magazine, both Andrew and Maxwell have asserted that they believe the photograph is a complete fake. Andrew had always denied any wrongdoing in his ties to Epstein. In his 2019 interview, he denied meeting Guiffre and called the picture’s veracity in question; “Nobody can prove whether or not that photograph has been doctored, but I don’t recollect that photograph ever being taken.”

This development shows why the victims and their advocates are demanding the release of all the Epstein files

Giuffre tragically died by suicide in April 2025, but her memoir, Nobody’s Girl, was published posthumously in October, where she reiterated her accusations against the royal. As a result, the family feels strongly about the impact of the new evidence. Her brother, Sky Roberts, said, “This is a very vindicating moment for Virginia.” He added that he and the family were “really proud of our sister,” emphasizing, “She was not lying this entire time.”

Her sister, Amanda, agreed, sayin,g “I’ve felt like a moment of such overwhelming emotion because I wish she was here to see this,” she said. “She fought so hard and so long and she was still so strong.” This isn’t the first time evidence has surfaced backing Giuffre’s claim. Back in November 2025, emails unearthed from Epstein himself appeared to confirm that he had sent Giuffre to London on his plane, and he confirmed that a picture was taken.

Andrew, who was stripped of his royal titles and honors in 2025, faced a lawsuit filed by Giuffre. She alleged that she was sex trafficked to the royal when she was 17 and had three sexual encounters with him. Although Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre in 2022, he did so without any admission of liability.

Every release of the documents has painted a clearer picture of his relationship with Epstein and Maxwell. Now, with new evidence, he is facing pressure from UK Prime Minister Starmer to testify in front of Congress so that the victims can get justice.
