Liverpool kept up their pursuit of the Premier League title with an impressive victory at Newcastle United on Saturday.
Naby Keita's first-half goal was sufficient as the Reds earned a 1-0 triumph against the in-form Magpies. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side remain a point adrift of leaders Manchester City with four games left to play.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at St James' Park.

Van Dijk irked
Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip had another near-faultless afternoon at Newcastle, helping Liverpool to a fourth successive clean sheet.
But when one made an error, the other wasn't slow to let his team-mate know about it. Such was the case during the first half when a slightly undercooked pass by Matip towards Van Dijk offered a chance to Newcastle dangerman Allan Saint-Maximin to nip in before the Dutchman hacked clear.
To say Van Dijk was less than impressed was an understatement. Come full-time, though, they were all smiles at another job well done.
Eddie not steady with Klopp
Making a first Premier League start since early January, James Milner was perhaps the biggest surprise on a teamsheet sporting five changes from the midweek win at Villarreal.
Milner, though, more than justified his inclusion, not least with his tackle on Fabian Schar that set up the opener. Newcastle were not happy with that as Liverpool played on to score with the defender on the turf injured, although later able to continue playing.
And during the second half, Magpies boss Eddie Howe could be heard on the touchline expressing his displeasure while reminding Liverpool counterpart Jurgen Klopp how the Reds scored the opener in similar fashion at Anfield back in December. Clearly, playing to the whistle isn't en vogue on Tyneside.
Henderson makes Trent laugh
Sadio Mane was brought down about 25 yards from goal in the first half, giving Liverpool a real opportunity with the subsequent free-kick. But with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah on the bench, who would take it?
Step forward Jordan Henderson, who tried his luck but ended up curling the ball high, wide and not very handsome. Cut to Alexander-Arnold watching a replay on the bench and then bursting into a little laughter. Bit harsh that, Trent.
Henderson, meanwhile, was jeered throughout by Newcastle due to his Sunderland connections. So he could afford himself a bit of a smirk at the reception when he was substituted late on.
Dan burnt
Newcastle's defenders had their hands full with Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz throughout. So the last thing they wanted was the sight of Mohamed Salah trotting on with 20 minutes remaining.
The Egyptian caused the hosts all sorts of problems, not least Dan Burn who, after one miscontrol, puffed his cheeks out in a huge sigh of relief towards the Newcastle fans while prone on the turf after Salah was just unable to keep the ball in play.
Earlier, at half-time a home supporter named Ross struck a sufficient number of balls into the chosen target to win the star prize - a signed ball by all the Newcastle players. Given their new-found riches, you'd have thought they'd offer a better reward for his endeavours.
