Virgil van Dijk has caused worry amongst the Liverpool fans after being substituted at the start of extra time in the Reds' FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley.

The centre half completed the 90 minutes, which ended 0-0, and was then replaced by Joel Matip as an additional 30 minutes was about to take place to separate Liverpool and Chelsea.

Van Dijk missed the majority of last season after suffering an ACL injury in October 2020, but after recovering for the start of Liverpool's pre-season campaign, the Dutchman has returned to his imperious best.
