Joel Matip earned a round of applause from his Liverpool team-mates for a piece of skill he produced while training in Austria and Virgil van Dijk knew he was going to do it.
On the latest Inside Training video that was released by Liverpool before the Reds flew back to England, the players were looking sharp and Thiago Alcantara was impressing with his free-kick ability, but it was Matip who caught the eye the most.
The bromance between Van Dijk and Matip has been clear for a few years now and the Dutchman was in no doubt when Matip was lining up the ball to shoot into a tiny goal from around 50 yards away.

Matip is known for his ability on the ball and the surging runs he makes from Liverpool's defence to try and open up the opposing team. The defender turns 31 next week and he produced his best season in Red shirt last time out after managing to keep himself fit and available for selection.
Van Dijk was confident Matip would hit the target: "He’s gonna do it, watch him." Matip then curled the ball into the centre of goal and earned applause from his team-mates watching on.
The captain of Holland then added: “I told you he was going to do this!” said Van Dijk. “Again, again.”
Matip decided one attempt was enough after hitting the target on the first try: "You stop when it’s good!”
