Virat Kohli's reaction to 'BGT mein aag lagani hai' leaves fans in splits - WATCH

NEW DELHI: Ahead of the upcoming three-match Test series against New Zealand, starting October 16, India's star batsman Virat Kohli was spotted at Mumbai airport, surrounded by a sea of paparazzi and media.

One photographer caught Kohli off guard with an enthusiastic comment, saying, "BGT mein aag lagani hai (You have to light up the Border-Gavaskar Trophy)."

Perplexed, Kohli asked, "Kismien? (What do I have to light up?)"

The photographer quickly clarified, "BGT mein (in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy)," to which Kohli gave a nod of acknowledgment before heading to his car.

Kohli had missed the entire home series against England earlier this year, from January to March, due to the birth of his second child.

Following the New Zealand series, India's next major challenge will be the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, featuring a five-Test series against Australia.

The much-anticipated series between India and Australia begins on November 22, with the first Test set in Perth.

The second Test, scheduled from December 6 to 10, will be a day-night contest at Adelaide Oval.

The series then moves to The Gabba in Brisbane for the third Test, from December 14 to 18.

The iconic Boxing Day Test at Melbourne Cricket Ground will be the fourth Test, held from December 26 to 30.

The fifth and final Test match will take place in Sydney on January 3.
