A violent thug who strangled, kicked and punched his girlfriend and also assaulted two of her friends in drug and alcohol fuelled rages, has been jailed.
At a sentencing in Minshull Street Crown Court, the court heard how Adam Coulson had begun a relationship with the complainant, who he had known since school, in Autumn 2021 and that it was volatile from the start.
Prosecuting, Tom Challinor told the court that on May 5 this year, Coulson, 27, went out into Heywood town centre with the complainant. She said Coulson was drinking and taking cocaine and his behaviour became "erratic."
