
Glendale, Ariz. - Vince Carter and Chauncey Billups, two prominent figures from the 2000s era of basketball, have been announced as part of the 2024 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class. Carter, known for his electrifying dunks and a career spanning over two decades, expressed deep emotion upon receiving the honor. The 47-year-old Carter, an eight-time NBA All-Star and the 1999 Rookie of the Year, reflected on his journey and the significance of being inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame.
Joining Carter and Billups in the class are several other notable figures, including former Lakers, Grizzlies, and Warriors executive Jerry West, who has previously been inducted as a player. The diverse class also features players Seimone Augustus, Michael Cooper, Walter Davis, Dick Barnett, and Michele Timms, coaches Charles Smith, Harley Redin, and Bo Ryan, broadcaster/coach Doug Collins, and owner Herb Simon.
