A vile man grabbed a sex worker by the throat before punching her face.

Ian Roberts, 51, of St Luke’s Close, West Derby, attacked the vulnerable woman on Sunday, March 5 of last year at an address in Liverpool. Roberts grabbed her by the throat, punched her and stole various personal items.

The victim suffered facial injuries and Roberts was arrested the same day before being charged with assault. He pleaded guilty on day one of trial at Liverpool Crown Court to theft and the assault.
