Sporting Lisbon are odds-on to keep a hold of star striker Viktor Gyokeres in the January transfer window despite English interest.
Gyokeres stands tall as the hottest striker in Europe at the minute, further emphasised by a hat-trick in the Champions League against Manchester City in midweek.
The Swede, who has scored 66 in 67 games for the champions of Portugal, looks destined to follow Ruben Amorim to Manchester United in a move that could exceed £85 million.
According to the best football betting sites, Sporting are long odds-on at 1/3 to keep Gyokeres at the club until the end of the upcoming January transfer window.

Manchester United Handed 15% Chance Of Landing Gyokeres In January Window
Since arriving in the Portuguese capital after leaving Championship club Coventry City for £20 million, Gyokeres has enjoyed a memorable spell in his career.
The 26-year-old has drawn comparisons to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland for his direct, aggressive attacking style with lethal finishing, which has led to 23 goals in 17 outings this season.
He reportedly has an £85 million release clause in his Sporting contract – and there’s reason to believe Manchester United will trigger that option, but it seems unlikely in January.
New Red Devils boss Amorim will be keen to bring in some of his own talent and there’s no doubt Gyokeres is right at the very top of his wishlist.
Arsenal seem to have found an ideal centre forward in Kai Havertz and as long as Haaland is at City it’s hard to fathom them spending £85 million on another number nine, which leaves United as the logical destination.
