The WR3 battle is still up for grabs as the preseason enters Week 3 of the schedule. Brandon Powell and Jalen Nailor appear to be the two players who are battling it out, but with the excellent preseason Nailor is having, many expect the former Michigan State Spartan to lock down the job.
It’s one thing when national analysts talk about Nailor the job he is doing so far, but it’s another thing when one of the best wide receivers in the league praises him. Recently, Justin Jefferson was on the Green Light podcast hosted by Chris Long. Jefferson was asked which young receivers he likes and believes will be in store for a good season.
Jefferson mentioned rookie Malik Nabers for the Giants and then talked a little about Texans’ receiver Tank Dell. But then Jefferson finished with Jalen ‘Speedy’ Nailor.
“Speedy [Jalen Nailor] for us is gonna be a big time — who’s gonna surprise somebody this year,” said Jefferson.
In two seasons, Nailor has 12 career receptions for 208 yards and one touchdown. So far, in two preseason games, Nailor has grabbed four receptions for 94 yards.
