The cornerback position is one that the Minnesota Vikings will have to address this offseason in a major way. With only three players on the roster in Cameron Dantzler, Andrew Booth Jr and Akayleb Evans on the roster, they will need to add at least three players at the position.
Mock drafts have been consistently having the Viking select one in the NFL draft and that continued with Sports Illustrated’s Keith Hanson. He had the Vikings taking Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo.
“While shifty receivers may create challenges, Ringo has an elite combination of size and speed. Ringo is a physical corner who isn’t afraid to mix it up in run support, although he missed six tackles in 2022, per PFF. Ringo is one of the youngest players in the draft and won’t turn 21 until this summer.”
The interesting thing with Ringo is his package of traits. A freak athlete with elite size, Ringo struggles with basic technique. He will need to be built up that way to see his max potential, but the package of tools is intriguing.
