With No. 141 overall in the 2023 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings select LSU defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy. They traded up 17 spots with the Indianapolis Colts to make the trade, giving up No. 211 at the end of the sixth round to do so.
Jaquelin Roy is a DT prospect in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 3.73 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 1018 out of 1623 DT from 1987 to 2023. https://t.co/f75kr0ApKF pic.twitter.com/dh1zQk3onh

The second player from LSU taken both by the Vikings and specifically on day three, Roy is an interesting player. He didn’t test very well, but was 116th on the consensus board. Compared to Dalvin Tomlinson by NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein, Roy fits what the defense wants to do very well on the defensive line.
Right away, Roy will be a backup with a chance to work his way into the rotation by the end of the year.
