The Minnesota Vikings are less than a month away from the helmets and shoulder pads coming on at training camp.
On Wednesday, via the Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson, the team announced the official date for the first full team practice. It’s the day when the veterans and rookies converge on the same field in preparation for the 2022 season.
That date is currently set for July 27.
“Vikings announce today that their first full team practice at training camp will be on July 27,” Tomasson posted on social media. “They’ve previously announced that the first practice open to fans will be July 30.”

Rookies are slated to report earlier on July 24, while veteran players are expected to arrive by July 26.
The beginning of training camp will officially kick the Kevin O’Connell era into full swing with the team preparing for their first preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders on August 14.
