Welcome to the beginning of our 2023 season preview content!
Over the next few weeks, we will be looking at each player on the roster in-depth with backgrounds and how they currently project forward on the Minnesota Vikings roster.
What is the best-case scenario? What is the worst-case scenario? What should we expect from them during the preseason and beyond? We will break all of that down here.
As a staff, all of us at Vikings Wire ranked the entire 90-man roster 1-90 and will be releasing player profiles in reverse order.

Best case scenario
It’s simple with Addison: win the WR2 job and be the tremendous route runner he was in college.
Like Jefferson, Addison didn’t win in college with great speed or size. They both were fast enough, but their incredible route-running prowess is what made them great. Like Jefferson saw in his last year at LSU, Addison won’t be drawing top coverage. That will help him get acclimated to the NFL and he should be able to beat man coverage with his route running ability.
Worst case scenario
His size and off-field activities hinder him.
On Thursday, July 20th, Addison was caught speeding on Interstate 94 in St. Paul going 140 mph, which is a crazy high speed normally, but even more so when you know the area of 94 he was on. Is this a one-time thing or will it become a long-standing issue?
On the field, Addison’s slight frame could cause issues in both press and also blocking in the run game. It’s difficult to have a lot of strength when you have that slight of frame. That was a concern that had him slipping to pick 23 overall.
What to expect in 2023
Expect Addison to be a contributor during 2023, but unless he outright beats K.J. Osborn for the job, that will come later in the season. The Vikings don’t have to feel rushed one bit in terms of getting him on the field. 12 personnel will help significantly with that fact. Once he gets on the field, expectations are that Addison plays well early and makes an impact opposite of Jefferson.
