Best case scenario
When the Vikings selected Lowe in the sixth round, they believed he could be a long-term option at the position. With two stalwart tackles on the roster, they can take their time developing Lowe. He played in four games in 2022 and that experience will help him significantly this year. A great camp will seal a roster spot as the fourth tackle on the Vikings.
Worst case scenario
There is a struggle with the development curve and he doesn’t show growth year over year. With Oli Udoh on a cheap contract that pays him $2.5 million with a veteran minimum cap hit, he could fall through the cracks and be one of the final cuts.
What to expect in 2023
I fully expect Lowe to make the roster in 2023. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has shown real loyalty to players that he has taken in the draft. Lowe has the size you want in a tackle and showing technique improvement will make a massive difference in retaining him on the roster.
