Vietnamese exchange student visiting Canberra reported missing

A 17-year-old Vietnamese national, Van Quyet Pham, in Canberra on an exchange program has been reported missing to police.

ACT Policing said the teenager was last seen in Banks, in south Tuggeranong, about 6am on August 14 and had not been heard from since.

He has been described as Asian in appearance, about 170cm (5'7") tall, with a medium build, and dark hair.

Police said Van's English skills were limited.

"Police hold concerns for his welfare, and are requesting the public's assistance to locate him," an ACT Policing spokesperson said.

Anyone who has seen Van, or who may have any information regarding his whereabouts was urged to contact ACT Policing on 131 444.

They are requested to quote reference number 7825433 and police said information could be provided anonymously.
