A viral video shows Republican senators speaking to Mitch McConnell during a closely divided committee vote before the 84-year-old senator audibly says 'aye,' prompting online claims that he nearly voted alongside Democrats.

The moment came on Wednesday during a Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry meeting considering the Agricultural Act of 2026, commonly called Farm Bill 2.0. The measure ultimately advanced on a 12-11 party-line vote.
