New footage shows Conor McGregor and the woman who accused him of sexual assault hanging out together about half an hour after she says the incident took place.
The woman claims McGregor forced her to perform oral sex on him before attempting to sodomize her. The alleged attack took place on June 9, after Game 4 of the NBA finals between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat.
The footage, which was obtained by TMZ, was shot just before 1 a.m. and appears to show the woman and the UFC fighter chatting at a club.
Ariel Mitchell, a lawyer for the accuser, describes the clip as showing the pair “awkwardly interacting with each other,” which she said did not happen before the alleged assault, according to TMZ.
“My client has always stated that there would be video of before and after, and in those videos she emphasized that the difference in the interactions between them would be visibly noticeable,” Mitchell said in a statement to the outlet, noting the new footage further “supports what she told the police since the inception of this incident.”
McGregor’s camp, meanwhile, has denied any wrongdoing and slammed the allegations as a “shakedown.” Attorney Barbara R. Llanes says the accuser’s “story has changed yet again” but maintains that McGregor’s “has never changed.”
“This video only reinforces our position,” read Llanes’ statement to TMZ.
McGregor previously faced sexual assault allegations in 2018 and 2019 by women in his hometown of Dublin.
