This shocking footage shows a careless motorist driving on the footpath of a busy street in Dublin city centre.
The video was taken by Twitter user @dublintwowheels on Capel Street at the junction by The Boar's Head on Thursday afternoon. The car can be seen slowly manoeuvring around the street lamp and pedestrians on the footpath.
One frustrated man can be seen gesturing at the motorist and a small crowd of pedestrians attempt to navigate around the vehicle. The caption for the video reads: "Capel Street closed to motor traffic? No worries, just go around the bollards over the footpath!"

Capel Street became the longest traffic-free street in Dublin following its pedestrianisation on May 20. Bollards have been put in place to stop traffic from adjacent streets.
A permanent closure was put in place at Parnell Street after Jervis Lane to remove traffic on Capel Street. Additionally, car parking is banned and all deliveries are allowed from 6am to 11am.
Cyclists are permitted to use the street but pedestrians will have priority. The pedestrianisation came after a successful trial last summer a public consultation saw 1,766 submissions of which the majority were in favour of the proposal.
Dublin Live has contacted the gardai regarding the incident.
