The famous American lingerie brand, Victoria's Secret, is opening a store inside Newcastle's Eldon Square.
The lingerie, clothing and beauty retailer launched a concession inside the Next store just before lockdown, but now it is expanding with its own "assortment store".
A section of the Next store has been closed off while renovation work is carried out and new Victoria's Secret signage has gone up outside of the shop, sparking excitement amongst shoppers. And now the brand has confirmed that the store will open to customers on Friday, July 15.
A Victoria's Secret spokeswoman said: "Victoria's Secret, the leading speciality retailer of lingerie and beauty products with modern, fashion-inspired collections, fine fragrances, body care, and loungewear, is set to expand its UK presence with the opening of its first full assortment store in Newcastle on July, 15.
"Personalised, one-on-one bra fitting appointments with specially trained bra fit experts will also be available at the new store. Bra fittings are complimentary, and no appointment is required.
"Victoria’s Secret offers bra sizes from band sizes 32-40 and cup sizes AA - DDD in a range of lining levels including unlined, lightly-lined, and push-up."
Announcing the arrival of the world-famous brand on social media, Eldon Square said it will be a "great addition to the centre".
Customers can expect lingerie and nightwear in the brand's trademark pink colours as well as shelves stocked with beauty products and gifts that will delight fans of the iconic brand.
The Newcastle store will be the second Victoria's Secret shop in the North East, following on from the 2018 opening of the Metrocentre store.
It comes after Next saved Victoria's Secret when it plunged into administration in 2020. Since then, Next, which bought the majority stake in the business, has stocked Victoria’s Secret's products in Next stores and on its website.
