David Beckham has left fans stunned after Victoria shared a sneaky recording of him singing along to Mariah Carey's festive hit All I Want for Christmas is You.
The football icon, who has currently come under fire for his controversial £10million deal with Qatar, was quietly singing along to the Christmas tune none the wiser of Victoria filming. The popstar turned fashion designer blew her cover of secretly recording as she let out a giggle filming David.
After realising he'd been recorded, David, 47, broke into one big final note for the camera - leaving fans stunned by his impressive pipes belting out the festive melody. Victoria, 48 shared the cute video to her social media and her 30.3 million followers, writing: "@davidbeckham giving us his best @mariahCarey".
Sharp fans also spotted the moment that the football pro made a cheeky jibe at his wife's singing career. Despite her success in the Spice Girls, Victoria has often been criticised for not having the best singing voice in the group.
As Victoria teased: "You were struggling with that high note weren't you?" David quips: "Like you would?"
Fans rushed to the comments to compliment the former England captain on his musical talent. One shocked fan wrote: "The sixth member of Spice Girls"
"He can actually sing wow," said another. A third joked: "Get him on The Masked Singer" A fourth agreed: "Ok that’s a sweet moment you captured there!!," while a fifth wrote: "Spice boys coming soon"
The couple are getting into the festive spirit early this year, after claims that their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham wouldn't be spending Christmas with them. Rumours of a feud between Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz and her mother in law have been brewing since the two tied the knot earlier this year.
The Bates Motel actress has reportedly declined the invitation to spend Christmas with the Beckhams in London for the second year in a row. There were hopes of a reconciliation after the entire Beckham clan, including Nicola, all showed up to support Victoria for her first ever runway at Paris Fashion Week in September.
However, a source claimed the truce was only temporary and a case of “playing nice” while the cameras were on them. An insider told Heat magazine that the Paris truce helped in part but has now made the situation more complicated as the US actress now feels she’s “done her part” and so the Beckhams “owe her one”.
“Brooklyn explained that his parents were upset – that’s why she turned up to the show. But no one believes the reconciliation will last long – especially now Nicola has refused to spend Christmas with the Beckhams for the second year in a row," the insider added.
They went on to claim that Brooklyn had hoped the Paris Fashion Week appearance was going to be a turning point, but now realises its not that simple as Nicola has “no intention” of spending Christmas with her in-laws.
It has been reported that David pulled Brooklyn aside to reassure him his family loves him and is there for him no matter what while the famous clan were in Paris. And, the source said, took the opportunity to invite the newlyweds to the festivities at their Cotswolds home.
“Since you live with the Peltzes, it would be lovely if you came to us,” David is reported to have said to his eldest son. But David and Victoria were “sad to hear” the response to their invitation which was that its apparently tradition for the first Christmas to be spent with the bride’s family, the insider told the magazine.
