Victoria Beckham has admitted that her lack of body confidence made her ditch days out on the beach with her children.
The former Spice Girl, 50, said: "I never want to look like I’m complaining, but there were times in the past that I haven’t felt confident enough to sit on a beach and watch my children play."
However, the mum-of-four has claimed those days are behind her as she’s now "more accepting" of her looks, and negative comments about her appearance "don't bother her now".
Beckham, who heads her own high fashion brand, has been infamous for her obsession with diets and weight loss over the years.
She also said that, while she's still disciplined about her diet and works out regularly, "life's too short" for calorie counting.
"This is how I look," she added to Grazia. "I’m going to make the best of it, work hard at it. I’m very disciplined with the way that I eat, the way that I work out and the way I work. That’s just who I am.
"But I do like to have a drink and I’m not going to be one these, 'Ah, there are too many calories in a glass of wine' types. Whatever... Let’s have a nice time’.”
The star's former footballer husband David Beckham previously revealed that she has mostly stuck to eating grilled fish and steamed vegetables on a daily basis for the past 25 years.
The only time she deviated from that was when she was pregnant with their daughter Harper, 10, Beckham claimed.
"I get quite emotional about food and wine, when I'm eating something great I want everyone to try it," the former England star said on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast.
"Unfortunately I'm married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years. Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate from that.
"The only time she's probably ever shared something that's been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing."
“It was one of my favourite evenings," added Beckham, 49, who also shares sons Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19, with his wife.
"I can't remember what it was but I know she's not eaten it since."
Victoria previously spoke about her being a "nightmare" with food.
She also told River Cafés Table 4 podcast: "To most restaurants I'm probably their worst nightmare. I love some steamed vegetables, some balsamic vinegar and then to season myself.
"I like things to be cooked in a very simple way. I don't like oils or butters or sauces. This is where I sound even more boring in the food department."
The star also said she loved treating herself to a piece of whole grain toast with salt on it.
