Victoria Beckham gets rarely emotional as Brooklyn hug leaves Harper in tears

Victoria Beckham gave a rare display of emotion as she responded to a photo of her recently-reunited children locked in a teary embrace.

The matriarch and her family - including son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz - have been spending time together in Paris over the last few days to celebrate her latest fashion launch.

As Brooklyn posted sweet snaps of him hugging sister Harper, mum Victoria gushed about how much her youngest child loved her big brother.

Harper held back the tears in the photo as Brooklyn, who now lives in the United States, gave her a big bear hug.

In another photo, Harper, 11, was seen wiping her damp eyes after becoming overwhelmed by the moment.

As the snaps were posted online, a clearly moved Victoria told her son in the comments: "Your little sister loves you more than you could ever know and being together on your birthday made us all so happy.

It's not the first time Victoria has made an admission about missing her children after Brooklyn has been absent for Christmas, birthdays and other family occasions since his wedding.

Speaking on a podcast last summer, Victoria said that she and David 'try their best' but ultimately they had to let their brood fly the nest in whatever way they decided.

"You're just trying to do the best you can as a parent. You want them to be happy, hardworking, good, kind human beings. But ultimately you know, the kids have got to do what they've got to do. You've just got to be there to support them and love them," she said.

The family have been enjoying something of a reunion over the last week, with the exception of Romeo who had to stick to his footballing commitments back home.

Victoria and David and son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola have not been seen together in months.

However, after getting invites to the front row of Victoria's star-studded fashion week show, the newlyweds jetted out to spend some quality time with their inlaws.

The family are even staying at the same hotel in the French capital to maximise their time together.

After watching Victoria's latest fashion show, the clan were later spotted at the A-list afterparty and the following day headed out to celebrate Brooklyn's 24th as a family.

The show of unity comes after fevered speculation the Beckham family had reached breaking point over their eldest son's wedding.

Shortly after the multi-million dollar nuptials, reports began to swirl that Victoria and bride Nicola had gone through a falling out behind the scenes.

The rumours were only ignited when Nicola revealed she had been planning to wear a bridal gown made by Victoria's team but the designer said her atelier could not fit it in time.

Responding to allegations that she was no longer on speaking terms with the Spice Girl, Nicola said: 'It's not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, 'feud, feud, feud!?' I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they're labelling it feud?'

"I think it all started, and I've said this before, because I didn't end up wearing Victoria's wedding dress, but the real truth is, I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn's mom got to make that for me!

"And I was really excited to wear it! And I didn't end up wearing it." she told The Times.

She went on to say: "But I, truthfully, was really excited to wear her dress. It makes me sad when I read things that people say I was never planning on wearing it. That's just not true.''
