Victoria Beckham has delighted fans as she joined husband David to perform a Spice Girls hit following his US football team’s triumph.
The celebration event followed footballer Lionel Messi beginning his Inter Miami career on Saturday by scoring against Cruz Azul at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
David formed Inter Miami in 2018 and is a co-owner, and was seen watching the match along with famous names such as LeBron James, Serena Williams and Kim Kardashian.
In a Sunday social media post, Victoria shared a video from the couple’s boozy night out which saw her and David Beckham picking up the mic to perform her former pop band’s 1996 chart-topper Say You’ll Be There.
On TikTok, she wrote: “Warming up the vocals in Miami! More to come.”
In the video, the former pop star seemed to be having the time of her life as she belted out the tune while a bleary-eyed David mimed the song’s lyrics and danced away in front of their pals.
The fashion designer jokingly insisted on Instagram that she hadn’t consumed as much alcohol as it looked, writing alongside a teaser of the clip: “Just a casual night out in Miami! Check out my TikTok to see the full performance.
“No really, I did not drink that much.”
After sharing the clip, the former pop star’s post was inundated with comments from fans loving their performance.
One wrote: “Omg! How cute are you both! I love how you’re living ta best life (sic)! Posh my all-time fave Spice!”
“David Beckham is hammered – love it!” another quipped. “I love watching you sing and have fun with it!”
A fourth begged: “We need a Spice Girls reunion please.”
Victoria, who was known as Posh Spice, embarked on a solo music career in the 2000s before becoming a fashion designer after her exit from the group.
She last sang with Spice Girls at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012 as they danced on top of decorated black taxis.
The other members – Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner – reunited in 2019 for a tour of the UK and Ireland without Victoria.
Alas, a Spice Girls reunion might be off the cards for a while, after speculation they might headline Glastonbury 2024 was shut down.
It was initially reported that Victoria would join her bandmates on the Pyramid Stage next year, but a source insisted that she would prefer to focus on her fashion label.
An insider told the Mail on Sunday: “Glastonbury is possibly the coolest gig on the planet but Victoria won’t be doing it next year.
“She has carved herself a career as a fashion designer that she has put blood, sweat and tears into, so singing is something she has to carefully consider.
“She has sadly been hugely ridiculed when she has sung in the past. She is a different person now. She looks back fondly on her years in the Spice Girls – they were very special for her – so she hasn’t ruled out a celebration, maybe, at some point.
“And Glastonbury are not at all keen on having the group without Posh, it just doesn’t have the same pull.”
However, she is set to take part in a documentary made by Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, that will tell the story of the Spice Girls’ rise to fame in the 1990s and will feature interviews and unseen material from their personal archives.
