'Santa came early in Miami,' Victoria Beckham says – and with Santa came a look at the Beckhams' residence in southeastern Florida. The luxury home prioritizes minimalism – starting with its neutral palette exhibited in its year-round paint choices. Naturally, however, their Christmas decor follows suit.
David and Victoria were pictured alongside their son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, and their daughter Harper in coordinated pajama sets – and their Christmas tree is just as synchronized with its surroundings.
The tree in question boasts an (almost) all-white color scheme with lights and ornaments that seamlessly complement their pared-back living space. And it's a reminder of why the most simple tones will struggle to fall out of favor.
While embracing minimalist decor may appear no easy feat over the holidays, David and Victoria's white lights exemplify a tasteful celebration without overpowering their space.
The family opted for simple white lights and glass ornaments in a similar hue juxtaposing their traditional tree branches. It may be too late to replicate their look this year, but as experts remind us, the beauty of all-white ornaments is unlikely to fall out of favor – so if we follow suit now, we can enjoy the look for many holidays ahead.
'White has always been a staple color throughout the years,' comments Homebase's buyer for Christmas, Frances Clements.
'A neutral color like this makes a great base tone, and it pairs so well with other shades, but it also keeps everything connected in a theme. White décor also works beautifully in smaller spaces, keeping it light and open.'
Jemma Baskeyfield, the company historian at Burleigh, agrees. She, too, recommends opting for a strict color palette that mostly comprises one hue – with white being among her favorites.
'Keep colors simple. For some, the Kitsch Christmas of red, gold, and green is perfect, but for me, I prefer simplicity, keeping to just one color, whether that's gold or an alternative color such as Blue, which I used during a previous Christmas,' she says.
Alongside our tree ornaments, Jemma recommends incorporating our color scheme through other Christmas decor pieces. 'This year, I am using several different shades of gold, so this will be reflected in cutlery, fabrics, and candle holders,' she says.
