Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama was putting on a show on Thursday night before San Antonio’s game against the Suns even tipped off. And he continued putting on a show until the final buzzer.
The 19-year-old pulled out some tricks during San Antonio’s pregame warmups ahead of their second consecutive matchup with Phoenix, and he stunned the crowd by throwing down an incredible between-the-legs dunk.
Despite his 7’4” frame, Wembanyama made the dunk look easy as he tucked the ball under his legs before flushing it down with authority at the rim.
Although Wembanyama probably won’t be pulling out this type of highlight-reel dunk in a game, he showcased some of his unique skills ahead of his clash with Kevin Durant and the Suns.

The Frenchman was feeling confident early on in Thursday’s game, too. He went off for 20 points in the first half, including a powerful dunk during the second quarter. It wasn’t as flashy as his between-the-legs dunk in warmups, but Wembanyama made a statement with his two-handed jam on the Spurs’ fastbreak.
By game’s end, Wembanyama had dropped a career-high of 38 points, alongside 10 rebounds and a pair of blocks in what was his best NBA performance to date.

He logged 34 minutes on the floor and buried 15-of-26 field goal attempts as he helped guide the Spurs to their second straight win against Phoenix, showcasing more than just a glimpse of his otherworldly potential.
