Victor Osimhen's agent speaks out on transfer links amid Man Utd and PSG interest

Victor Osimhen 's representatives have denied there has been contact with PSG amid continued doubt over the player's future at Napoli.

The Nigerian has continued to shine in Serie A with his side poised to end a 33-year wait for a league title. Osimhen's exploits have put him firmly in the shop window with the Paris outfit, alongside Manchester United, the team most heavily linked with his signature.

Napoli have shown a willingness to part with their top talents over the years and may struggle to reject a major offer if one arrives this summer. Yet Osimhen's entourage maintain no discussions have been held with PSG, despite their admiration for the forward.

Osimhen's representatives told Mundo Deportivo : “Everything that is being said is false. It’s early to talk about the transfer window. A lot of people are trying to destabilize at this point. There is nothing.”

PSG's sporting advisor, Luís Campos, previously played a key role in Lille signing Osimhen, which has only served to fuel the current links. The 24-year-old is currently the top scorer in Serie A as he produces career best numbers. Foot Mercato have reported that the player, if he were to move, would prefer a switch to the Premier League, which could harm PSG's hopes.

The French side are preparing for life with Lionel Messi, who could be due to exit after two years in the French capital with his contract up in June. Neymar's future also remains uncertain whilst Kylian Mbappe, despite penning a new deal in recent years, continues to be linked with an eventual move to Real Madrid.

Osimhen has previously claimed he and the club will find a "good solution" having cast doubt over his future in Naples. He told Sport1 : "I don't know what the future holds. I think I'm on the right track. At the end of the season, I will sit down with my agents and discuss everything. I will also be in talks with the club. I am incredibly grateful to Naples. We will find a good solution together."

Napoli continue to unearth gems having previously seen the likes of Edinson Cavani, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik shine. Nowadays Osimhen is part of a squad that also includes Georgian winger Kvicha Kvaratskheila and Kim Min-jae with the club's sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli confident they can continue to find talent regardless of what happens.

He said: "We'll look into it further. probably this summer, we gave priority to those with short deadlines. Football is a world made up of great motivations. We were aware that we were forming an important team and we are sure we will be able to do so in the future as well."

United remain keen but their priority is thought to be a move for Tottenham's Harry Kane, who will soon enter the final 12 months of his deal.
