Victor Osimhen 'chooses' between Manchester United and Arsenal and more transfer rumours

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly made his choice between Manchester United and Arsenal.

Both Premier League clubs will be looking to strengthen their forward lines this summer as they hope to improve on this season's performances. Arsenal are looking to replace the now departed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang while United will be needing a successor to Edinson Cavani when he leaves at the end of his contract.

One player who might fill the bill for both clubs is Osimhen, who has scored 17 goals in 29 appearances for his Serie A club. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 23-year-old has chosen the Gunners as his next team ahead of United.

They claim that Osimhen is attracted to the North London club as he believes they will deliver Champions League football next season, a hope that went up in smoke for United after defeat to Mikel Arteta's side last month. The Nigerian is currently valued at £80m and has three years left on his contract.

Elsewhere it is claimed that United have joined Newcastle in the race to sign Evan Ndicka. Sport Bild claim that the Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back has caught the eye of the Old Trafford club who are looking to add a central defensive player to the ranks this summer.

Ndicka has been at the heart of Frankfurt's defence as they impressed in the Europa League. At 22, he has played 40 games this campaign for the Bundesliga side.

His contract expires at Eintracht in 2023 and it is reported that the club may be interested in cashing in on their star defender. It is believed a fee of €20m will be enough for the Frenchman.
