A man who hacked his friend to death with a machete told police he believed the man and others had previously killed a "witch" in order to rob her.

Christopher Reyes Gonzaga, 45, is standing trial in the Victorian Supreme Court for allegedly murdering Gregory Tan in western Melbourne on April 15, 2024.
