A 60-year-old man was violently attacked while walking with his family in broad daylight in a leafy street in Richmond, west London.
The victim suffered a bleed on the brain when he was set upon by a stranger in the unprovoked assault near Kew Gardens, and will need hospital treatment “for the foreseeable future”.
Nearly two months on from the attack, police are still hunting the man responsible.
The victim had been with his family in High Park Road near Kew Gardens Station around 11.40am on Wednesday, May 17, when he walked past the suspect in the street.
A few minutes later they passed each other again, and the suspect punched the victim, in an apparently unprovoked attack, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain a serious injury.
The suspect is described as white, tall, of large build, with dark stringy shoulder length hair.
He was wearing a blue top and dark trousers, and is believed to have been with two dogs, both thought to be German Shepherds. One dog was black, the other brown and black.
The victim sustained a bleed on the brain and was discharged a few days later.
No arrests have been made.
