Gardai are continuing to quiz a man on suspicion of the murder of a young man at a hostel - as tributes flow for the victim.
The 41-year-old continues to be questioned at Kevin's Street Garda station this afternoon over the killing of Jamie Kavanagh.
The victim, 24, was stabbed repeatedly after a row broke out at a property on Harrington Street in south inner city Dublin before 4.45am on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services rushed Mr Kavanagh to St James' Hospital but the popular young man lost his battle for life.

The suspect, originally from west Dublin, was also staying at the hostel. He can be held for 24 hours but his detention is continuing due to breaks in that time.
It is likely that investigators will have to release or charge him by this evening.
"Kavo", believed to be from Lucan, has been remembered fondly by pals in tributes posted on social media.
One said: "You and My brother were inseparable for so many years. You were like family. Look after your mam sister and dad at this terrible time." Another said: "Rip kavo you’ll be missed hope you get the best bed in heaven."
While one other wrote: "Can’t believe it rest easy pal your wore the craziest funniest person there was. RIP Kavo." As part of the major probe, gardai sealed off and combed the scene for evidence.
They are also conducting interviews with others in the hostel in a bid to establish the root of the row.
It is understood a post mortem has taken place on Mr Kavanagh's remains and his body will be released back to relatives in the coming days ahead of funeral arrangements being made.
