Line of Duty star Vicky McClure certainly caught the attention of the viewers during her appearance on Loose Women on Tuesday lunchtime.
The actress, who stars as DCI Kate Fleming in the hit BBC drama, made a guest appearance on the daytime panel show to discuss the awareness of dementia and the funding surrounding those with the disease.
However, it was not her starring role in Line of Duty or ITV drama Trigger Point that got viewers intrigued, it was her "stunning" new hairstyle.
Vicky showed off her longer and light hair transformation as she teased about a potential seventh series as Kate Fleming, while also revealing that there will be a second season of Trigger Point, where she plays police bomb disposal expert Lana Washington.
Loose Women viewers were quick to compliment her new hairstyle. Taking to social media, @aaabbb3 commented: "Vicky McClure looks great. The longer hair really suits her #loosewomen." Tim Mee said: " @Vicky_McClure I have to say, from a Derby lad to a Nottingham lass, I love your hair when I caught you on LW today."
Carol Jones added: "@loosewomen Vicky McClure looks absolutely stunning with longer hair and a flash of blonde! She was always attractive but the longer hair has added a bit of oomph!"
Jen tweeted: "#loosewomen wow Vicky McClure, what an attractive lady not only that she comes across as a genuine, unaffected by stardom actress but seems a really nice person."
McClure, 39, formed her Dementia Choir in 2019 as part of a documentary for BBC One which examined the role that music can play in helping people living with the condition. She added that dementia was "almost a forgotten disease" and that she was "really scared" about those grappling with care-costs.
"People’s response to the TV show has been phenomenal, but it’s also really frustrating because there’s still so little funding for people with dementia," Vicky said.
She added: "I wish I could find a cure, but I can’t, so my mission is to create noise for people living with dementia. Dementia choirs are not only cost-effective, but they are also scientifically proven to help."
She and the choir performed at Splendour Festival at Wollaton Park in July with special guest Tom Grennan. She also took part in the Alzheimer’s Society’s Nottingham Memory Walk as she continues to raise much-needed funds.
