Vice President Kamala Harris recently held a rally in Houston, focusing on the crucial issue of abortion rights. Although Texas is not typically considered a battleground state in presidential elections, Harris and her campaign are aiming to energize voters nationwide with her stance on this contentious issue. Texas currently enforces one of the most stringent abortion laws in the United States.
Prior to Harris taking the stage, the event featured speeches from an OB/GYN, actress Jessica Alba, and Democratic Senate candidate Rep. Colin Allred. The crowd was also treated to a musical performance by country music icon Willie Nelson, who played two songs and rallied the attendees with the question, 'Are we ready to say, ‘Madam President?’'
