Vice President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary with heartfelt social media posts on Thursday, coinciding with Harris's momentous acceptance of the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.
Harris took to social media to share a touching message, stating, 'Happy anniversary, Dougie. I wouldn’t want to be on this journey with anyone but you,' alongside a photo of the couple.
Emhoff, on the other hand, posted a 40-second video montage featuring cherished photos and videos of the couple, culminating in a snapshot from their wedding day.
During his speech at the Democratic National Convention earlier in the week, Emhoff reminisced about their upcoming anniversary and the tradition of Harris playing the 'rambling' voicemail he left her before their first date each year.
'This Thursday will be our 10th wedding anniversary, which I know, I know it means I’m about to hear that embarrassing voicemail again. However, that’s not all I’ll be hearing. That same night, I’ll be hearing my wife, Kamala Harris, accept your nomination for president of the United States,' Emhoff shared.
