Vice President Harris Urges Immediate Ceasefire In Israel-Hamas Conflict

U.S. Vice President Harris delivers remarks on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, in Dubai

Vice President Kamala Harris recently addressed the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict during a panel discussion at the National Association of Black Journalists in Philadelphia. When questioned about any differences in her policy compared to President Joe Biden's stance on the matter, Harris did not provide a specific divergence but emphasized the urgent need for a lasting ceasefire and a hostage deal.

Harris expressed her firm belief that the war must come to an end promptly, stating, 'I absolutely believe that this war has to end, and it has to end as soon as possible.' She highlighted the importance of reaching a hostage deal and securing a ceasefire agreement as crucial steps towards achieving peace in the region.

When pressed for details on a specific policy to end the conflict, Harris reiterated the necessity of finalizing the deal without delay. She emphasized, 'We need to get this deal done, and we need to get it done immediately, and that is my position, and that is my policy.'

The Vice President underscored the ongoing efforts to work tirelessly towards brokering a ceasefire and securing a hostage agreement to bring an end to the violence in the region. Harris's remarks reflect the administration's commitment to seeking a peaceful resolution to the Israel-Hamas conflict.
