Two fresh faces will join the newly re-elected Victorian government's frontbench after a group of right-aligned Labor MPs defected to Premier Daniel Andrews' left faction.

Almost a week after leading Labor to a resounding third successive election win, Mr Andrews unveiled a marginally tweaked cabinet after caucus met on Friday afternoon.
