Veteran senior ABC journalist Tracey Holmes has quit the public broadcaster, just months after her high-profile husband Stan Grant.
Holmes said she had resigned from the ABC in a announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday.
The move comes just months after her husband Stan Grant walked away from his role as host of the ABC's Q&A program, citing exhaustion with persistent racial abuse.
"Paris 2024 beckons," Holmes wrote.
"It will be my 14th Olympic Games as a journalist/reporter/broadcaster.
"This coming Olympics though, it will not be for the ABC since I have resigned and will finish on November 30."
The veteran reporter thanked her colleagues and listeners and promised to continue her career in the future.
"For now though, to channel a former governor of California in his former life as The Terminator, 'I'll be back', that's a promise," she said.
Holmes began working at the ABC in 1989 and was Australia's first female host of the sports program, Grandstand.
Earlier this year, she received the Australian Sports Commission's Lifetime Achievement Award, with the peak body saying she was widely recognised as one of the most "influential sports broadcasters".
